Art Exhibition at the Cultural Creative Center Pixel in Koprivnica

On August 22, 2024, the exhibition titled “The Future is Now” was opened at the Cultural Creative Center Pixel in Koprivnica. The exhibition explores the subtle boundaries and overlaps between technology, science, and nature.

The process of creating these paintings involved various mixed media techniques, combining different materials and processes to create layered and rich visual elements.

A fragile butterfly flaps its wings, and the whole world changes. How great, then, are the consequences of human actions? Everything I do echoes in the world.

As a part of the exhibition, for the first time is showcased my latest mini series called "MINDSCAPES", overlapping the aesthetic of the cosmic sky with ocean creatures and female portraits - drawing parallels between the ocean, the universe and the human mind.

"When we turn our eyes to the vastness of space, we see the infinite unknown. Distant and intimidating, yet filled with beautiful mysteries. An opportunity for exploration.

Oceans are the mirrors of the univesrse. Equally unknown, places of undiscovered worlds.

The mind is an unexplored universe of its own. An expansed microcosmos filled with constellations of neurons. An uncharted ocean of thoughts and ideas. A beautiful enigma, a world worth exploring."

The exhibition also features a "cat corner" including paintings that depict the role cats have played in scientific theories and discoveries.

The space was a great fit for my paintings, and the audience was warm and open to these themes. I was especially delighted by the young visitors, who were full of interesting questions and comments (like when they called Schrödinger's cat "That cat on the dancefloor"). 😎🐱

In a moment stretched into eternity
I feel like the existence is forever
and like we were never truly here.

To be AND not to be,
at the same time.

Schrödinger's cat dwells between life and death, captured within a box. This feline embodies the enigmatic paradox of existence, reminding us that in universe, certainty remains elusive until observed.

The organization itself was excellent, and the collaboration was productive and enjoyable. Everything was quickly arranged and professionally executed. I'm grateful to the Cultural center Pixel and its staff for their excellent communication, openness to new ideas and willingness to support not just me, but many other artists from various disciplines, thus encouraging dialogue and providing their visitors with always new experiences.The exhibition is open until September, 12, 2024, so I invite you to visit it and to share your impressions with me, either through comments here or messages on Instagram.
